THE BURNING SUN
Blinded by it’s beauty what a site
Caught a glimpse and then it felt alright
I tried to take it in
And feel it in my skin
Left me lost in a daydream
It hit me with a hand that knocked me out
As I came to it had me turned around
It’s all I had to see
Staring right at me
Looking like the chosen one
Reaching for the burning sun
Mad shadows out of control
Two bodies putting on a show
As it grew still the sounds surreal
The morning light it fell so heavy in to night
Gave a shout to the brilliant skies
Blinded by it’s beauty what a site
Caught a glimpse and then it felt alright

The Storm

The Storm
Drowning out a long day
singing an evening song
There’s a strange stillness
as I stumble through the door
A calm before the storm
Settling for sleep
In a silent fearful slumber
Over the black beneath
Yeah we were so good as the days rolled by
Then a sudden twist of fate as the storm arrived
In the middle of the night
Cmon baby there’s nothing wrong
You know I would tell if I’ve had too much
We got tangled in an angry sea
Can we get thru this
Cmon baby
Reaching for an answer
Gotta get a grip
As the bottom got deeper
On an empty breath
Lost in screams like
I’m caught in a crowd
That no one can hear
For crying out loud
Cmon baby there’s nothing wrong
You know I would tell if I’ve had too much
We got tangled in an angry sea
Can we get thru this
Cmon baby
Cmon baby there’s nothing wrong
I’m just trying to weather this storm
We got tangled in an angry sea
Can we get thru this
Cmon baby
